Single Strollers that Convert to Double Strollers | Vista, Donkey, City Select Lux, Wave

We’re answering one of our most common questions: what are the best single-to-double strollers? In this video, Eli discusses the decision of buying a single or a single-to-double stroller and reviews our top picks! He compares:

(2:56) Baby Jogger City Select Lux: Given its length and weight, the Lux works best as a double stroller. But the longer length does mean that babies can comfortably face each other! An upgrade from the City Select, the Lux’s seats fold for 30% smaller storage.

(4:20) UPPAbaby Vista 2017: Our most popular inline stroller, the UPPAbaby Vista needs no introduction. Parents love that the UPPAbaby Mesa infant car seat can click in without an adapter. It also stands when folded! Take note that the toddler seat’s weight limit is 50 lbs, while the RumbleSeat’s is 35 lbs.

(6:53) Silver Cross Wave 2017: The Silver Cross Wave is our newest single-to-double stroller and it’s quite a luxurious one. Its titanium frame makes the Wave durable and long-lasting, but heavy in return. It’s called the “Wave” because you can flip the upper adapters to position your baby higher!

(9:09) Bugaboo Donkey 2017: The Bugaboo Donkey is our only side-by-side single-to-double stroller, and it’s crazy versatile. Enjoy it in the mono position with the side luggage basket or expand it to the duo. Believe it or not, the Donkey’s Mono position is more narrow than its inline stroller counterparts!

Abigail Wallace says:

A mommy here in NH- love your channel! Dying to make a trip to one of your retail locations. We love our Select as a single and a double- it IS long, but the basket is amazing with two kids. Only downfall is choosing where to seat your kiddos of different weights. We have two boys- 3yr old and 4m old, and it’s SO difficult to pop the stroller up for city curbs when the older child is in the lower seat. Baby gets bumped to the bottom so that we can maneuver better. Other than that, we love it.

Jennifer Cullen says:

Why didn’t they show what the city select can do ! Oh that’s right because it’s the best one !

Janell Cardenas says:

Have beans come across the mountain buggy duet for 2017? I know this year they are having accessories that convert like the bugaboo donkey. What are the pros and cons of that stroller? Thank you!

Hi, I have a 4 yrs &3 yrs boy and a 5 months old baby. Which stroller would you recommend?

Iam MyMomsMom says:

This was a great review I feel like it would have been helpful to see the prices of each one as well. Keep up the great work

Britinee Rouse says:

It would’ve been nice if you would’ve actually showed the city select as a double stroller like you did all the rest of the strollers. Then turned them to the side to see which one gives the most space between the seats.

Erika Heinz says:

I would love to see a video on the ride on board options!

Yesenia Bedolla says:

Could you do a review on the Joovy Cool stroller and maybe compare it to an Uppa Vista stroller. I have a 1 month and a 18 month old and I’m looking to buy a double stroller.

Joy Smith says:

I love you guys! I just bought my 2017 uppababy vista in Henry and got it in yesterday. Free Shipping!

What are your thoughts on the Phil&Teds Dash as a single to double?

Myrna Landeros says:

Hi What other convertible strollers besides the vista, can I use for the uppababy mesa infant car seat?

David Behar says:

Why wouldn’t you include the Austlen Entourage in this? I feel like it’s better than these and just underrated or unknown.

Hannah Schaffer says:

All these strollers are way too expensive for your average income middle class citizen. Unless you go on Craigslist, or get a used one this is for Upper Middle class only!!!

Rizza Deguzman says:

Why didn’t you include austlen??

Benjamin Wexler says:

Hi Eli.. Interesting situation here.. Expecting triplets in the fall, what stroller layout would you recommend ( 1 triple/1 single & 1 double/ 2 convertible strollers)? Looking to get Chicco Keyfit 30 car seats, so would need to have adapters for those.

That was an awesome review! Thank you!

Cassia S. says:
